The Zen-like quality of clouds: neutral and natural, ever-changing and shifting—no attachments, no story. With simple beauty, clouds symbolize a way of living in graceful fluidity and sheer “being-ness.” To me, the act of capturing a cloud “mid-shift” is akin to meditating on the present moment.
Original cloud photographs, digitally altered, mounted on wood supports, with applied silver leaf at edges.

Selections from A Cross A Day, a 365-day project in which one cross was created each day, and then posted to the Acrossaday blog and to Instagram. An artistic—not religious—creative exercise and project.
A wide variety of techniques and mediums were used, including painting, drawing, photography, collage, computer illustration and assembly work with food, nature and other objects. Each creation was accompanied by an inspirational text and relevant quotes, based on the concept of the day.

Hand quilted words on cotton
Words and phrases in sterling silver, as inspirational, uplifting and/or encouraging reminders at the wrist.
I am not interested in jewelry as a decorative accessory as much as an intimate, meaningful and utilitarian accessory to inspire and provide comfort to the wearer. A note, mantra, or reminder between self and self, worn at the wrist.
